The problem with native ChatGPT projects

ChatGPT has a native Projects feature that groups conversations by project context โ€” great for keeping related chats together. But projects appear in a flat list that gets crowded the moment you have more than a few. If you switch between 5โ€“10 projects daily, finding the one you want means scrolling every single time.

How pinning works

Chat Power adds a "Pin" option to the right-click menu (and the 3-dot menu) on any native ChatGPT project. Pinned projects jump to the top of the sidebar and stay there regardless of how many new projects you create. Unpin at any time with a second right-click. The pin state is preserved per browser.

Who uses project pinning

  • Developers who have one or two active coding projects they touch every day
  • Freelancers who need a specific client project always one click away
  • Anyone who uses ChatGPT Projects and has crossed the 5โ€“6 active workspaces mark

Frequently asked questions

Does project pinning work with ChatGPT's native Projects feature?
